Denna g\u00e5ngen best\u00e4mde vi oss f\u00f6r att bes\u00f6ka denna plats.\u00a0I december 1924 b\u00f6rjade man s\u00e4nda med l\u00e5ngv\u00e5g h\u00e4rifr\u00e5n till Amerika. Telegram fr\u00e5n hela Sverige gick via Grimeton. Under andra v\u00e4rldskriget var det den\u00a0enda telegramf\u00f6rbindelsen fr\u00e5n Sverige till Amerika. Ca.1 sekund tog det f\u00f6r ett telegram att f\u00e4rdas \u00f6ver havet med l\u00e5ngv\u00e5gor. Det var sp\u00e4nnande att se dessa j\u00e4ttemaskiner som \u00e4r f\u00f6reg\u00e5ngare till dagens mobiler :) Numera startar man det hela tre g\u00e5nger om \u00e5ret f\u00f6r att s\u00e4nda iv\u00e4g ett meddelande, till radioamat\u00f6rernas stora gl\u00e4dje. Grimeton <span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">\u00e4r v\u00e4rldens enda\u00a0bevarade storradiostation fr\u00e5n tiden innan det fanns\u00a0<\/span>radior\u00f6r f\u00f6r h\u00f6ga effekter.
